Great value Japanese style knife

At this price you can't go wrong! The knife is very sharp, light and well balanced. As it has a wood handle, I won't be putting it in the dishwasher. I also oiled the handle as soon as the knife arrived to protect the wood. With a little care the knife will last for ages.

I have owned this knife for three years with barely any loss in sharpness. For such a cheap knife, the quality is stunning. I love it so much that I have just bought a second one as a gift for my mum, along with the small fruit knife and a paring knife. I also own a number of the small knives and have just added the 7" cleaver and peeler to my collection. I use all constantly and love them!
